Ethanol FREE Gas In USA & Canada
« on: October 19, 2011, 09:21:07 AM »
The attached link lists gas stations that sell "Non-Oxygenated" or Ethanol Free gasoline.  It has probably been posted before but I thought it would be good to have it top of mind before winter storage.  If you don't use it regularly you might want to use it for your last tank full of the year, along with StaBil, to help prevent moisture in the tank and o-ring/gasket damage.

Whats this "winter storage" you speak of? Bring it down here and ride with us, we have plenty of ethanol gas around here too. And 4 racetracks offering the finest twisties around   ;D

Thanks for the post, found one about 20 minutes from the house. Good for snow blower gas too.

Nothing even REMOTELY close to me in VA.  But I live in an area with 7 (?) connected cities.  I think Ethanol is mandated.  Anyway, I am fairly sure that Ethanol contributed to destroying the carburetors in my ZRX (last bike).  It was so bad that no shop seemed to be able to fix it.  I am not sure that Ethanol (10%, anyway) would hurt a FI Concours, but I am still very bitter about the whole thing.

Ethanol: Doesn't really help the environment, overall uses almost the same amount of fossil fuel (due to fertilizer and processing), costs more money, destroys older vehicles, causes potential water problems for all engines.  What a wonderful thing to be forced down our throats!

Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately I live in a state where alcohol is mandatory and alcohol free gasoline is not available, at least for road vehicles. Even the states next to mine require alcohol in gasoline so pure gas is a thing of the past here.
