Another ECU Reflash thread, ECUnleashed
« on: October 05, 2011, 11:43:27 AM »
So I was perusing the Sport Riders website and their newest article is about reflashing a new zx10r with a company called ECUnleashed. Out of curiosity I looked at their website and on it they say they have files for the 10-11 C14. If your interested in having your ECU flashed they might be worth checking out. I didn't see their name mentioned in any previous discussions( And I never miss anything......) and p;rice seems comparable to Guhl and Dynotronics.

 Just FYI.

Thanks for the info.
However, Guhl and Fred H. have put a lot of work into reflash mod, their customer support seems to be outstanding, therefore they will get my business.....

My intel suggested they use the same provider as Dynotronics, which if I recall correctly is based in France. I could be wrong though.

A flash of your ECU effectively loads new maps that will open the Secondary Flies earlier, change Fuel, maybe change Timing and other variables depending on the bike and the flash. For the C14 it adds improved low down torque and can account for lean/rich conditions when changing pipes for optimal performance. Since this is down in the ECU you can change more than just fuel which a Power Commander can only change, but the advantage of the PC plus an Autotune is it can make changes on the fly using a O2 sensor.

I'm sure others more knowledge than I can expand.

I have used a power commander in the past. Is remap "required" for a slip on change?

The autotune only records suggestions, called a trim table. These suggestions only take affect when plugged into the software and changed. If the only thing changed is the slipon, cats and air filter stock, it should not need remapped or PC.
