What pressures are you running on the rear? I am down to about 36PSI and like it well there: for me higher really make the road irregularities harsh. Started at what I ran the Avon at, 40 or 42.

Front is the 011 and is nice at 40, but I might drop it down too.

And I am really liking this tire.

Your tire pressure is too low and will result in the tire overheating. I  know this because I have a tire pressure monitor system and also tell me the tire temperature.  The rear needs to be at least 41 to 42. The front needs to be 40. This is when  the tire is cold. When your out riding it will rise to about 45-46. The funny thing is when you have less air the tire gets even  hotter and the pressure will rise from 38 to 48 or more.

Thanks George.. good write up. I was using the 10% rule for the front and rear tire. The last rear tire I just installed is a super grippy sport tire and it runs hot. I had to put 44lbs in it to keep it from getting too  hot.   Now I know I have a 20% variant which is normal for the rear.
If I run anything less than 40 in the front it gets too hot and  scallops.  I do run my forks a little  lower in the triple tree to get some more weight forward so that might be a factor.

Ok guys, went out and reinflated my tire back up. Thinking about it I realized that with my weight loss (30 lbs in 3 months) I may need to revisit my shock settings to get a more comfortable ride.

7500 miles on mine so far, and 42 PSi. tread looks great, and it still has rolling edges. This is my fav. tire, I am getting another one just because, not o put on right now, but when needed.
