Gafler SST brake lines

How many have them or have used them? I am a member at Pashnit.com and got a newsletter that they are going to be having a sale on the Gafler brake lines where you get the rear brake line for free (starting on Nov 1).  I think you need to be a member of the Pashnit forums, but I am not positive.

So, what do you guys think? Worthwhile to do? I have had 4 different bikes, each one has gone to 30k+ miles and each was about 10 years old when I sold it and moved on, and they each had the original brake lines with no problems.

I replaced mine with Galfer SS lines, not because of any problem with stock, but because I needed longer lines. I cannot tell any difference in performance and I thought the stock lines were as good as you can get.

Phil, I assume you needed longer lines because of bar risers?

SVonhof: Not riser blocks, I made my own "extenders" and they required longer hoses, and re-routing of the throttle cables behind the R. fork. As you can see I went with black hoses.

Interesting Phil. And you don't sell these new riser extenders?

I put some on the front because I ruined the OEMs. They do look good but I can't tell much if any difference in braking performance.

Phil - what length did you get? I bought a set of these from a forum member and need longer lines. And, by the way, the extenders are great! I can go way longer in the saddle with them.

I purchased a set +4" over stock. I have 4" extenders and have plenty of slack. They worked for 3" also but I had some excess slack to contend with. Unfortunately they added some length to the front wheel cross over line and it is difficult to hide slack in that hose. Use the stock cross-over line if you can.
