pcv install
« on: February 04, 2012, 10:29:48 AM »
Just got my PC from fuel moto and am going to hook it up tomorrow. Came preloaded with the flies out , filter, slip-on map. Do i just plug it in and away I go or do I need to set anything via my laptop?

Just hook it up and go.  I ordered mine through Jamie at Fuel Moto and it worked flawlessly without touching anything.
Keeping the economy going, one tank of fuel and two tires at a time.

I suggest that you copy the map currently loaded in the pcv to your computer. You may want to experiment with other maps and want to go back to the original map in the future.

It might be usefull to check and/or calibrate the throttle position sensor.
"TPS CALIBRATION
It is important that the PCV software TPS read
0% when the bike is fully warmed up and at idle.
If it needs to be reset make sure the bike is fully
warmed up before resetting. With the engine off
click on Reset, open throttle to the stop and
close, then click OK. "
Nothing worse than having your balls go missing.

Just a quick reminder, make sure, really sure you have a good, clean ground.  And as stated before, make a backup copy well identified as to which MAP it is.

Thanks for the feedback ! Hoping to do this tomorrow. Had a ZX-14 and am hoping these mods bring me closer to that bike's performance.

I'll be installing mine next week. How did it go? Did you reset the throttle position?
