All bikes have dual personalities (ST) .....just to various degrees.

I love the UJM as a 'Jack of all trades' bike. 750 -1200cc from any of the major 4 work well (KZ1000)

Older ST's work well for less $$$ ST1100, C10,

The best scooter I could find is the Burgman 650 executive. (4 gals x 60 mpg = 200 -240 range) plus the exec has ABS, elec shield, and manual tranny (fun).

None of these are as 'sporty' as the current crop of 'Super Sport Tourers' but have lots of value in the 'frugal and fun' catagory.  ;)

If I had $30,000-$40,000 laying around one of those would be in my garage the day it is released.

I can dream can't I?  But the chain drive is a disappointment though.
Keeping the economy going, one tank of fuel and two tires at a time.

But the chain drive is a disappointment though.

Especially since the motor is already spinning in the correct orientation.

One (BIG) reason for me not wanting a 1/2 size S/T is that I tip the scales at 265 & when the wife & I head out with gear & the trunk loaded, the C10 works pretty good....  A half-sized motor would be strained to do the same task. Wouldn't even want to attempt that on a wee-strom, much less that H**da DULL-ville!
