"Baby blue" is a much lighter blue than that (more to the cyan range).  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_blue

In any case, Kawasaki has not posted the 2017 Concours on their USA, CA, or EU websites yet.  They have posted only on the Japanese site: https://www.kawasaki-cp.khi.co.jp/mcy/street/17_zg1400e_e.html  and they do show "Candy Imperial Blue"  I will speculate that Metallic Spark Black will be a black option again in USA/CA but who knows.

me like it! But in the flesh, vehicles tend to look somewhat different, so I'll wait before I make up my mind. Still no unlinked brakes...  :-X

OK, yeah, that is freaky.  The URL says "17" and the color is obviously not 2015 (which are black, grey, and lime green!)

They is b whacked

Yep, that is the site I posted (it is the page up from the link I posted earlier)... when you click on the Concours, you will see it says 2015 in the description, even though it is a "17" in the URL and the color is not the 2015 color.

Where did you get it?  Did they have in on the floor, or did you have to order it?

Kawasaki to Start Developing Motorcycles with AI Technologies
Aug. 25, 2016
Tokyo, August 25, 2016 - Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (KHI) is moving forward with plans to develop next-generation motorcycles that have a personality and can grow along with the rider. The motorcycles will make use of ICT (Information and Communications Technology), including AI (Artificial Intelligence), to achieve this goal.

The motorcycles being developed use the “Emotion Generation Engine and Natural Language Dialogue System*1”. From the words spoken by the rider, this AI-controlled system can pick up on the rider’s intent and emotional state. Enabling rider and motorcycle to communicate and share an understanding of purpose will open the door to a new world of unprecedented riding experiences.

"Brace yourself, Bridgette!" should be the command prior to flogging the bike.

For those of you not familiar, that sentence is commonly referred to as "Irish foreplay". :D
God does not subtract from a man's life the number of hours spent riding a motorcycle

You left off the best part:

"Accessing Kawasaki’s bank of analytical chassis and running data stored on a cloud-based data centre [...]"

Welcome, spy in the sky overlords!  This is similar to what GM does with "OnStar" and other companies are doing too with cars- tracking who you are, where you go, how you drive, who is with you, all in real-time.... storing this data for who knows how long, sharing it with who knows what others, providing it to "law enforcement" when necessary, etc.

I don't know about others out there, but I do not want the nanny State or nanny big business along on the ride with me.   Ever.

Artificial Intelligence for a motorcycle? I think that our politicians could use a bit of this AI since so many of them don't seem to have any Natural Intelligence.

I do like the color, not as much as the darker blue from, was it 13?  Just passed 70000 on my 08 which means it's almost broken in, so I guess I won't need a replacement anytime soon.
