Kudos to B.D.F on a great transaction for his product.
« on: August 05, 2016, 10:08:20 PM »
Just wanted to say thanks to Brian for a great experience with his low fuel light eliminator. I had a small issue, and he more than stepped up ( when it wasn't necessary ) and made the whole experience even better. He takes customer service to a new level. I would not hesitate to order anything from him again.

Hats off to you sir..  8)

I have that product and like it also.

Insanely bad design by Kawasaki makes it needed.  They do so much well. Not that though.

Thanks for the kind words.

I did not realize that that was you.... I mean that that is you now.... er....  :-)   Seriously, I know a lot of folks via their 'forum name' and also know them by their customer name (which is often not the purchaser's name either as it is a female name, probably using a spouse's PayPal account or something) but I do not realize that they are connected until someone posts something like this.

And thank you for being such a gentleman about the problem in the first place as it was entirely my fault and you could have been a bit put- off about it. But you handled it extremely well and I am grateful for that, and we calmly got to what I think is a great solution. And I also have to pass along a bit of praise for the USPS; they are often abused as a typical inefficient gov't agency but in my own experience, I have found them to be extremely reliable, fast and reasonable in price.

So thanks again for the post as well as being a great customer (though to be honest, so far, all of my customers have been great- you are simply the first one that got a faulty product to the best of my knowledge).

;D    Nope, I happen to be a Brian that lives in the state of RI (Rhode Island), he just happens to be using the forum name 'R1Brian'. He is a few time- zones west of me..... and a bunch of time zones west of you.

I worked for a German firm and very well remember that they are 6 hours ahead of us on the east coast of the US.... but even farther away when I was contacting them from Chicago....  and waking them up with problems, often described in horrible German :-(  Then again, those specific people DID volunteer to serve as technical support for the entire time period of the IMTS so I was not really incorrect for me to call. Still I think I heard "Gott im Himmel , was wollen er jetzt? once or twice.  ;D

I just got the affiliation thing he was joking about  now. Yea, I am an old R1 guy from years back, and use this name for almost everything.

I didn't want to be real specific on what happened because I didn't want anyone to think your products have issues.I read quite a bit before purchasing, and didn't see a single person have an issue. I was quite pleased with your handling of everything. It's clear that everyone of your customers are important to you from start to finish. I'm actually glad it was me to have the issue, as someone else with more limited mechanical ability might have freaked out. Thanks again for everything! :)

No problem on the issue- your unit was overheated during manufacturer, and pretty seriously at that; it has only happened that one time and I have taken steps to prevent it from happening in the future. The good news for any customers or potential customers is that this failure happened during manufacturer and is not something that can happen at any other time- so if one of my products works, it does not have this flaw. Yours is the only one it happened to that got out into the field as I have removed the others from that batch from inventory (they will be destroyed). I am currently testing other, higher temperature products but frankly do not really expect to use them; the products I have been using right along are far beyond adequate and as I said, I have now put overheating controls in place so it will not happen in the future. The current materials used were chosen for many reasons but at the top of the list is the fact that they are very chafe resistant, waterproof and resistant to most chemicals (it IS behind the fuel tank and fuel could spill down the tank).

I appreciate your trying to shield the product but really, there is no need and I do not want to seem like I am hiding anything: your circuit short- circuited which 1) caused it not to work and 2) caused it to pop a fuse on the bike. You replaced the fuse and determined that it was my product causing the problem. I sent you a new one that day, you sent the original back for examination, I tried to compensated you for your time and trouble and everyone is happy- like a good movie :-)

Thumbs up my friend.. I think you could tell by our communication I am a reasonable person. I know some people would flip out, and start bashing right away. I didnt want to over react.. We came to a very satisfying arrangement, and I am more than please.

Thanks again for everything !!
