Motoport Riding Gear
« on: June 24, 2016, 01:38:42 PM »
Hey everyone,

I’m selling my Motoport jacket, overpants and liners for both (rain and thermal liner for jacket and rain liner for pants). I recently bought the Triumph Trophy and it offers MUCH better wind/weather protection than my Concours did and it's too hot behind the windscreen for my liking. The Motoport gear was FANTASTIC on the C14 because there was much better air flow. So, I can sell the bike or the gear...I'm definitely not selling the bike :great:! I’m not changing the windscreen either because I love the quiet my current screen offers so, even though that was an option, it’s not going to happen.

This gear is amazing and my gear is pretty new, purchased near the beginning of the year, so hasn’t been worn for long. It’s very clean, well taken care of and washed on a regular basis…still looks new! Motoport gear is guaranteed so if anything should happen they will fix it or replace it.

The jacket is the 'Marathon Air Mesh' and pants are the 'Ultra II Air Mesh' and are made to fit a large body but have plenty of ‘adjustability’. I am 6’1” tall, 250 lbs. with a muscular build, have a 36” waist, 52” chest, 31” inseam. Both the jacket and pants are adjustable in size so body size doesn’t have to be exact. There is lots of room to make things larger and some room to bring things in. The jacket has 'set and forget' wrist enclosures. This gear is 'TOUGH as nails', washes so easy (safe and recommended to wash with the armor in…dries quick) and is so easy to take care of!

The gear is black (obviously) with piping on the sleeves, across the upper back/shoulders and down the legs. The piping is positioned to be most effective when light hits from the side and rear…lights up bright!

Wayne told me all his gear is ‘heat tested’ and they found the black doesn’t get any hotter than his other colors when sitting in the sun.

I have all the armor and the liners for both. The armor is AMAZING! The jacket has shoulder/elbow and forearm/back/chest armor. The pants have knee/shin/hip/tailbone armor. The armor is big but very comfortable and covers a lot of area. The armor has very high impact ratings. The Kevlar mesh material for the jacket and pants have very high ‘tear’ rating/resistance.

I paid $1500 and would like to sell the set, liners and all, for $1000…that’s a $500 savings for someone looking for great riding gear in 'near-new' condition and just broken in!

Again, it's hard to let this go but it’s really hot behind the Trophy screen/fairing making the gear difficult for me to wear. I loved it when riding my C14!

Jump on this deal! I am posting on the Trophy forum too so get on it if you’re interested.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns and there are people on this forum that wear the same gear and will help answer questions too! The gear is always rated high by those that wear it!

I'm selling this as a set. PM me if interested. PayPal is easy and I prefer to deal through them if possible.

Thanks!

Mike

Hi Mike,
I'll be straight up about this and honest.

I think you are making a BIG mistake selling this gear!!!

Also I think your "too hot" is really a bad reason also! (sorry)

This is the BEST motorcycle gear made in the World today (my opinion)

After owning my Motoport Gear (just like yours basically) I would not wear any other brand!

Nothing else made gives you the protection of Motoport!

Just sayin, I would seriously rethink this!

Oh yea, I live in Central Fla., California it ain't!!!

I am with the above poster. Just spent a week in Ga heat and was thankful for the Motoport gear as it is some of the coolest stuff I have ever worn. I have a closet full of gear that is way warmer. A fellow Motoport owner said something I have often said, "it is like wearing a screen door"

Sorry you will be leaving the ownership but to each his own.

I went directily  to Motoport to get fitted. Looks like I bought basically the same as you but did not have the lower pockets removed and did not purchase the liners as I have Warm n safe and read Nicole's liner saga. I Paid $514 for the jacket and $404 for the pants. Not sure what you have hidden in there to run the price up unless you went with the Optional armour which you might include with the listing for those who study this purchase hard. Hope someone gets in on your suit or buys direct.  It is the best protection out there.

After spending 8 days in a coma and multiple surgeries to take care of all the broken parts I will never ride with anything less on my parts. Hope you find something that will protect your parts from inattentive idjuts in cages.
