So you don't feel like the rider was trying to escape the driver? Upon realizing the driver was coming after him, should he have immediately pulled over and subjected himself to whatever attack the driver seemed to be ready to inflict?

If you can't ditch a cage on a modern sportbike, Your man-card should be revoked. :D

Yeah, I was wondering what was going on in that regard....

Yikes!

Never thought of a helmet as a weapon.

Another reason for ATGATT ;)
It was years ago, and may have been a dream. I had an incident, the perp realized I was in battle regalia. Knuckle gloves, helmet, leathers with full padding....

I wonder if the GoPro or comparable action cam acts as a deterrent to stupid behavior by at least some cagers. Or perhaps it incites more stupidity for the 15 minutes of notoriety?

I did a hi rez screenshot of the dash area, and it looks to me like a 2005 Yamaha R6.

IIRC lanesplitting is legal exactly nowhere.

There was a LEO turning left at the lights when the biker split to get to the front!!!!

We all know that cagers (even trained observers apparently) don't see bikes when turning left.

I assumed it had to be a 250 or smaller bike, a 600 could have left the cage in the dust had the rider known what he was doing.

Sad but true.

The biker speeding on the left shoulder into oncoming traffic is still a headscratcher. I suppose his defense will be that he was fleeing for his life. Good thing that CCW's did not enter the picture.
