Anyone have the Decel Pop fix pictures?
« on: March 17, 2016, 12:26:39 PM »
The Dale Walker Holeshot web site got hosed by GoDaddy during an upload (per Dale), and he doesn't have the pictures anymore. He said he is in the process of rebuilding the web site, until the whole site is fixed and they can get to that page.

The description is there, but not the pictures:

Anyone happen to have the pictures anywhere?

Is this a Gen 1 thing?  My bike has never popped.

No, it's a can thing.  Some pop some don't.   I have an Area P and it gurgles at times on deceleration.  I kinda like it but some don't.

Should be similar...

Is the hose on the Concours the same size? I thought I saw a much smaller hose on the old pictures.

Mine pops, but it isnt' all that bad, nothing like a big backfire at all.

There is a definite difference between a burble/gurgle on deceleration and the popping from a lean running condition when you chop the throttle on a hard decel and you're pushing cold air into the exhaust through the pair valve.

that should help finding the hose, but it doesn't need to be trimmed in his case, I think they supply a rubber stopper, that gets jambed into the hose, then you jamb the hose back into the airbox grommet.... (easy boyz...) had to do that... ???

you've probably noticed a change in that recently... that's one of the comments I get often - "it's gone"! Steve

You know I didn't notice it this weekend when I rode down to southern VA and back, but then again I wear ear plugs so it would have to be loud for me to hear it.  What I did notice was an increase in gas mileage.
