WW2 does not fit the current leftist narrative so it too is fading from the curriculum.
This.
My father was a U.S. Army Master Sergeant, field artilleryman, stationed at Schofield Barracks, when the attack came. He survived, and spent the rest of the war island-hopping, wounded somewhere, (I have his Purple Heart) was on Guadalcanal, and was part of the occupation forces in Japan afterward. He later fought in Korea.
This morning on my way to work, I was listening to the local left-wing, liberal, hug-a-thug, revisionist-history NPR station, and they barely mentioned the Pearl Harbor attack, but spent many minutes talking about how this is the anniversary of the "horrible wrong" of imprisoning Japanese people living in this country during the war.
A very small part of me is glad my father did not live to hear that crap.
