:yikes: :yikes:   What caused that I wonder?  It looked like a scene out of 'Where Eagles Dare'.  They weren't being chased by Nazis, were they?

Many years ago I was driving about 200 feet behind an 18-wheeler, at 60 MPH, when a giant Douglas fir came down about ten feet in front of the truck. Too close to react in time, he drove over it and it lodged between the drive axles, truck jackknifed, and went nose-first into the guardrail.  No one hurt, but man was it exciting.
A life undreamed is a waste.  A dream unlived is a sin.

Reminds me of an excursion on the Trace a few years back. The only decision was park in the open and pray or keep going at about five mph and pray.

This educational video taken with a dash cam 29 December 2014 at approximately 2.15pm shows the results of a strip wind storm on a small country highway in central Victoria. The windstorm weaved its way up the Watt's River valley before creating havoc at the Watt's River bridge. This is a great educational video showing the dangers of traveling in the bush during periods of high wind."
