Happy St Patty's Day!
« on: March 17, 2015, 03:46:26 AM »
According to the radio news this morning, they're already lined up outside the Irish pubs downtown today...lol.
It's still pitch black out...the snow is 80 feet deep, and the "highs" today are still below the freezing mark;).

We'll be heading to our local Irish pub today for lunch...but here in the industrial park, there will be no line-up.
No green beer for me though...I'll be drinking my regular half-n-half...Harp on the bottom, Guinness on top;).

Anyway...with oil at $43 bucks a barrel, inventories in the USA higher than they've been since 1982, the Great Lakes frozen stiff, and icebergs washing up on the shores of New England, I hope everybody can forget how weird the world is and go for a drink today!!

Cheers,
Rem :o

Perhaps that's why we will drink!

As the saying goes Gar, "The older you get, the better you were"...lol.

Speaking of getting old...

I was at the doc the other day for my lower back pain...
She more or less told me..."get used to it"...
And don't come back until I'm 50...lol.

I'm going to drink even more today because of her!!

I plan to go home early today and stay off the roads. But I have to admit that a pint of Murphy's or Beemish would taste pretty good this evening.

My dad was born on Halloween 1930 and died on St Pat's Day 1995.

Rest in peace dad.

My friend Kim is into it today and took this selfie.

We ended up having a great St. Patty's day lunch/afternoon!

There were a couple guys at the pub with guitars doing some Irish/Gaelic stuff, and some good local tunes.

Oh well, that's it for another year...lol.

Met some friends at the Draught House Pub in Austin the day after and had some damn fine Obsidian Stout on Nitro. Nitro makes all the difference.
