PCV Maps
« on: April 07, 2015, 08:01:16 PM »
So, I guess I messed up not buying the PCV from Fuelmoto to get free maps. I have no idea where a Dyno is in my area. I would really appreciate some help getting this PCV finished. I have a 2013 Connie, 2 bros, and flies removed. Can anyone hook me up with a map?

Thanks in advance

The map for the Muzzy system should work for you, you can also ad the autotune which will dial it in for you.

Went by my local shop and found out where there is a Dyno...$300 to build a map...so I guess I will buy an autotune!
Got everything done tonight and used the 2brothers map. I now have a new bike, cured all the ailments. Why this bike doesn't come from the factory like this is amazing! Now I have to learn to ride this thing all over again. Found out the KTrak works with the flies out, damn thing wants to burn rubber now. I only thought I knew love!

Yeah, more bad info. started by a GooRoo and passed around as fact unfortunately.... The ECU on a C-14 ( and about everything other modern vehicle on the planet) directly controls and governs the secondary throttle plates (the 'flies'), fuel delivery, and spark- both timing as well as the spark itself. When the rear tire starts to slip and the ECU restricts fuel and spark, it really does not matter if the 'flies have been removed or not 'cause without fuel and / or spark, the engine will not generate torque. Pretty basic stuff really.

I thought the collective speculative conclusion was that although traction control can and does still work without the "flies", it is probably more abrupt?

No, it is collective 'bleating', merely repeating what a singular person put forth as speculation at first, and then as experience once he 'felt' the affects of removing the 'flies.... that he had predicted. Sort of like a double- blind study without the double- blind OR the study part.  ;) ;D

The ECU will respond in microseconds and as I said, as it controls both the fuel delivery as well as the spark timing and outright spark, it can, and will, reduce the torque output of the engine in well under one engine revolution (which is a small fraction of the rear wheel's rotation).

OK, I will try to purge that tidbit from my memory.
