Anybody using a "Powered" Remote Heat Troller?
« on: December 16, 2014, 10:14:14 PM »
http://www.warmnsafe.com/single-remote-control-heat-troller-powered/

I am probably overthinking this....I like the remote troller, but don't feel like messing with the hassle of the batteries.  I stumbled across this POWERED remote troller, but can't find any reviews and the only places that seems to sell them is the warm and safe website.

Any input or experience?

Thanks!

wired, whether remote or standard, is the way to go.

I use the old standard controller, if i was buying today I'd buy a remote unit.

NO batteries, thats better suited for snipers and such that don;t have 12v available  ;D

I use the Warm 'n Safe remote troller with batteries. This is my 2nd winter season on the same batteries. Still working fine. I swap my gear between bikes, and having the battery troller, I can transfer it to different bikes as well. Works really well. I could not be happier. I Velcro the troller to whatever bike I'm riding, plug in my gear to the hot coax connector, and ride warm.

I did 200 miles on my C14 in the north Georgia mountains yesterday. Temps never got out of 40s...I stayed toasty at 50% or so on the troller. Gear is not nearly as effective when I move it to my KLR, due to less wind protection, and less robust electric circuits.

I give the Warm N Safe troller a 9 of 10...and I almost never give a ten.

Next project is to try to use my Warm N Safe gear at football games using the new anti gravity battery. We will see.

Thanks for the input.  I will pick up  a wired remote troller....seems like the best of both worlds.

I have used the Warmnsafe 7.4 v battery with my liner on my deer stand. It's good for about 2.5 hours so it should work for a football game.
