This happened today.... Starting from a stop, into a right-hand turn, BARELY had the clutch engaged, throttle twisted about 25-35%, engine caughed and died.... Thank God for Canyon Cages!!!
That said, my bike has been doing this more and more... In a straight line, while accellerating from a stop, it will surge for quite a distance until I let off the throttle, or pull the clutch and blip the throttle. Even with a warm engine. This is the first time its actually died tho.
90* ambient when the engine died.
New gas from one of the 3 stations I frequent (which are all very busy)
Hot-o-meter at 1 bar above center.
9,500 miles on the bike.
Had ridden about 200 yds from where I was parked, stopped at a stop sign, went to pull away and she sputtered and died.
Ill have to see if i can get it on video sometime soon. I usually forget i have my GoPro running when it happens so i forget to stop the recording so it doesn't get erased.
Do I take it to the shop for warrenty? Or just nut up and fox it myself? (Which I'm fully comfortable doing, but i don't want to void the warrenty)
