wire routing past gas tank
« on: April 01, 2014, 12:12:31 PM »
It's getting crowded under the gas tank. I've got two sets of heated gear control wiring, auxiliary lights going back and then forward again, and an auxiliary outlet that's on its way. What part of the tank are you running your wires? The tank went back on after the lighting wires but it wasn't happy about it.

Well, I have never removed my tank at all.  I ran my wires from the front to the back for heated gear control by just stuffing it in the crack as shown in the photo in red (you can't see the wires without my highlighting the route).  It is not "proper", but it has been working fine for me for a long time.  I figure that one day I will probably reroute it.
