Hey everyone, I just contacted Seth to order my seat, and asked about the exchange program that he
does did. I was very saddened to hear him say this:
I'd love to do that for ya, but I've had customers request that service, and not ship their stock seat pan back, so now I don't have any stock seat pans left... I'm not going to buy any more because at $300 a piece, I'd be throwing money down the drain to have people not return them again. This is partially my fault for not tracking who owed me a stock seat, and I've greatly improved my tracking system for that reason. If I get some of the stock seats back, it's a service I'd be more than happy to offer again.
I immediately told him I'd post up here and try to get him some of his seats back. He says he's not upset about it, but let's face it... He has $3000-$4000 invested to offer a service, and people abused it... That's a lot of money, and as a small business owner myself, I know I'd be a bit upset about it. We all know that he's all about customer service, and always wants to offer the best. But lets face it, if you invested a few thousand to better serve your customers, and got burned, would you want to re-invest it?
Not saying anyone here is a criminal, as I know the members here are pretty trustworthy. Whoever kept both seats probably just forgot to ship it back in their excitement for having a new seat. But from my point of view, I would HATE to have to explain that to a potential customer who was looking forward to using the service...
So if you did order a seat from Seth using his exchange program, I am asking you as a small business owner, to do the right thing and send the stock seat back as promised. It's not like Wal-Mart or Kroger where they have millions of dollars of profit every year to blow a couple thousand on spares... It's an individual trying to feed his family, and live his American dream...
