Thanks guys. I'll give one a try.
Then all I'll need it to fix the ergos of the bike.
Don't get me wrong, I love riding the 1400 but 120 miles per day is giving me bad lower back problems.

I will say that you are either not doing something right or you need to do some core exercises to help you live a quality life.

I can't ride an Ultra Classic for more than 2 hours, THAT hurts my back, like really bad.  I can ride the GS all day, and the C14?  Nothing says comfort like 1200+ miles on a day trip ;D  Each rider has a different requirement for comfort, as plush looking as the Ultra is, it just doesn't fit me.

The comfort I receive from the 1400 is the engine. Smiles ear to ear!! If i want to keep my butt happy i sit in my lazyboy....but thats just my comfort requirement
No mans opinion is entirely worthless- even a broken watch is correct twice a day.

Great for long haul rides but it will never stop me from hopping on my Kawasaki triple. The connie just can't compare to the smell and sound of a 2stroke zinging down the road

C14 is a good bike but not great.  My '08 has taken a lot of farkelization to get it to a point where I am relatively happy with it.  Smooth, fast, and powerful, but a bit edgy to handle, hot to ride, and a bit buzzy.  I think I have said here before that it seems like Ma Kaw got to a certain price point, and rather than fix some issues, just quit spending and put the bike on the market.  To be honest, after footing the $1000 "normal 24K maint. bill", I am entertaining thoughts of selling.  I have four bikes, and to be honest, this is not my favorite.

Yep, good but not great.

Ride safe...
Dave

Dave, I agree with you.  If were talking a completely stock bike.    The handling and low end power leaves a lot to be desired.  However, once I got good tires and a pcv, this machine transformed.  I've never added hop up parts to anything that made such a change.

I do sort-of wish the bike was physically smaller, I guess, but I love the thing.

I like my Ninja 1000, but its not even in the same league with this machine.
