when he drains the carbs for winter in the freezing garage, catches the gas in a little cup and pours it back into the tank rather than discard.

Seriously.
I kinda use my C-10 as a re-fueling tanker anyway. It's easier to ride the bike to the gas station,
come home with a full tank, then siphon it off to fill all the small engines around the garage.
Even fill a 2-gal gas can for a little extra. Then, just fill up the bike again at the next ride.

While the pic isn't a Concours, it just shows that a TRULY FRUGAL owner converts his motorcycle into a snowblower.

A life undreamed is a waste.  A dream unlived is a sin.

Ah, a frugality contest. My 'snowblower' has a plastic blade and a wooden handle and no place to put the gas.

Yeah, I have that kind too. I just can't seem to keep it running. Sometimes it's real hard to start.
