I'm not sure what the "booby trap" was but I'm guessing it was a kicker on a high speed area (bump/jump) & he endo'd, landing on his head. This is the kind of thing that could cause SCORE to not run bikes & quads anymore.

With THAT much area & course mileage, it'd be tough to find someone in the act..... but, yes someone or some group should be held accountable for that...  maybe bury them in the desert up to their neck & let the fire ants finish what's exposed....

I've read a few more reports from people that were first on the scene. They're saying "no booby traps or spectators in the area". It was just a bad & unfortunate racing incident, something that's always a possibility in the sport.
