C 14 rear brake light stays on 2012 abs

Guys,

On a two thousand mile trip and one of the guys in the group has been told and verified that his rear tail/brake is on will riding.
Any ideas for a quick fix. Is this a on going problem.

If it's only on while riding the bike, you might want to make sure they're not resting their foot on the brake pedal. If that's not it.. clear that area of any pebbles & check the rear brake switch. Odds are it's not the front switch. Or stop by a dealership.

Make sure that bike has the last brake recall on it where they replaced the rod with a newly designed one...

My brake light was not coming on when I applied the rear.  Turns out I just needed to adjust the nut on the spring mechanism behind the brake pedal. Could it be his is gone the other extreme, too tight?
It's hard to see in the picture but by loosening or tightening the tension on the little spring will determine when the brake light is triggered.

I had this very thing happen on my 2011.  Brake light was on most of the time even though I wasn't braking.  Just loosened the nut up a bit.
