Anyone around Springfield, IL that uses a baldwin or russel seat?
« on: September 25, 2013, 07:16:51 PM »
Just got back from a trip to Des Moines again. Got a literal butt hurt from the stock seat. But before I plop down a lot of dough for a seat, want to sit on one and try it out for a spin if anyone care to exchange bikes for a few min/hour

I had a Russel. Outstanding quality and is probably the best thing out there for some but I absolutely couldn't use it. It raises you up such that you have to bend forward a little more. Maybe now that I have HST bars it would work a little better for me but it also makes it harder for you feet to touch the ground. I have a 32" inseam and can normally flat foot it on the C14 but with the Russel I had to move right up to the tank and be on my toes when coming to a stop. The wings that make the seat comfy are in the way of putting your feet down.

Will airhawk R fit good on the stock seat with the slick cover?
