Rides
« on: Yesterday at 03:56:33 AM »
Very quiet on here lately.

I went for a decent ride on Otto last Sunday with a few friends. We went to a bike store/cafe in Sudbury (UK) called TTT Motorcycle Village.
Lots of used motorcycles available (but no GTRs), riding gear, accessories, and a decent cafe that does a good All Day English breakfast.

Otto behaved admirably considering he is now only 200 miles away from his double-rollover.
He has 200k miles on the frame/odometer and 25k miles since rebuild of Sanji's 150k mile engine (so engine at approx. 175k miles).
When he hits that 200k miles I will be swapping the instrument cluster over for a new-old-stock one that I scored a few years ago for 60UKP.
He will go from 0 miles to 0 miles  ;D

Vivian is shortly going in to a local motorcycle mechanincs for a full top-end service prior to our August trip to Austria.

Hello
our side-car from 1987 to currently 295624 km is for sure, but I think it’s rather 395624 km, I am its fifth owner and we have it for 10 years this year, and still the same engine without complete repair.
In 10 years, we have done 157624 km and still only happiness.  ;)
A GTR 1000 goes very far, from the moment you give it the right maintenance and a lot of love.

I actually want to add a C10 to the stable. I think the wife would like it for long distances. She's riding a GSX1250FA at the moment and loves it. Just not super great for long hauls. I REALLY need to add a hitch to my C14 so we can do more motorcycle camping. I loved the trip we did for our honeymoon, but stacking all the stuff on the bike kinda sucked.
2010 C14, Shoodaben Engineering MRP Flash, Delkevic slip-on, Canyon Cages front/rear, Helibars risers, highway pegs, tail tidy, AST peg lowering brackets, LED switchbacks all the way around, Bright2Wheels tail light, StompGrips, custom seat, 2015 C14 vented and blacked out windshield, Dunlop RS3s, and a Fat Ninja hat.

In addition to the extra load of a motorcycle, we have a small trailer to take enough comfort for long stays.  8) 8) ;)
At our ages, we must not deprive ourselves of it  ;D
