Little plastic knobs...2011 C14...
« on: May 12, 2016, 08:58:19 AM »
The plastic knobs for my rebound adjustment are broken beyond repair...Does anyone have a pair from perhaps a salvage bike or forks you have replaced? The only reference I can find is for the fork cap assy at $148,all I need is the 2 plastic knobs.Or if somebody else has had this issue,a source for a replacement would be appreciated...Thanks in advance...

do you have a warranty still? they shouldn't break, unless force was used...
how did they get broken?
I can't find any aftermarket aluminum ones online, and doubtful anyone will give up a set knowing they cannot get replacements, should they want to sell their oem one after upgrades...

might want to talk directly to a dealer out some... they may have a way of getting them, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Kawi use to list the knobs separately because it was common on the early c14's (2008's that were mfg in 2007) for the knobs to become loose and fall off.  The early ones were just a press fit on a spline ended shaft.  The replacements knobs came with a center screw hole and the dealers were told to drill and tap the shaft.  You may need to find someone at Kawi to help you if your local dealer can't.  You may want to do a search because there were posts on this subject on the old server.

Fred, I believe those were for the headlight height adjustment. The OP is looking for the ones that are on the forks for the rebound adjustment.
