The DVR is my friend.  I just watched the whole thing in about 8 minutes.  Fast-forward from crash-to-crash, zap the commercials.  Makes them look like they are going about Mach 3, which is more interesting, and I only slow it down to watch the crashes, don't have to listen to the talking heads yammammammering.

I agree about the boring single-file stuff.  NASCAR should just put an engine in the lead car and hook chains to all the others so they can tow the pack around the track.

having lived in Richmond Va., and sat front center for many nascar/winston cup/busch races, it ain't always a parade...
it's sometimes great, and somtimes a parking lot....and even sumtimes a rainout....

welcome to motorsports....

Richmond however always rocked....short tracks do rule...... and wreck a lot of cars.... but that's what it's all about, ain't it.... the gruesome $#!+  ????

I'm renaming the last parade the "Burlington Northern 500"  It was like watching 2 trains race.  Missed the truck race, but it rocked on the radio and the Nationwide race?  Awesome, with the exception of the last lap wreck.  Looking at the car missing the entire front?  Seeing the net lowered and then the driver jumping out was a wow moment and kudos to NASCAR for at least getting the safety aspect dead nuts on.  I sure hope the non plate races add some jazz.

I've tried to watch NASCAR since Danica got involved.  But I haven't been successful.

This is how you get me to watch NASCAR. Have all the drivers look like this. Dress like pic 2 for the race but for the Champaign shower/podium scene dress like pic 1 :P

Yeah, it was kinda a snooze fest, but like I said, we really didn't watch the race. And I'm betting many here and many out there only watched because of the woman, who by the way, was interviewed first after the race instead of the race winner, who'd a thunk it huh? And, as usual, blamed everyone else who got in her way and blocked her from winning the race, that gets old fast. A few more races and she'll be a just another driver a she should be. I'm glad all the hoopla is over and next year we can focus on the race instead of one rookie driver.
