Any good header gaskets?
« on: June 02, 2011, 05:31:51 PM »
So last year I put the ZX-14 headers and dual exhaust on.  No matter how many times i re-torque the header bolts, they wont stop leaking. I assume the header gaskets are compressing each time I re-tighten them, and then they leak again.

I would like to find some aftermarket header gaskets that are more substantial, and will seal better.

Any recommendations?

I bought new ones and it sealed the header right up. It leaked like yours after the initial swap of headers but with the new stock ones it was fine.

I put new stock ones in when I put the headers in, but maybe I put them in the wrong way? I remember one side has a crease/groove in it and one doesn't. I couldnt figure out which way they were supposed to go in, and I dont remember which way I put them in.

How are they supposed to go in I wonder?
