BILT Blaze Mesh Motorcycle Pants Review
« on: October 13, 2012, 03:04:00 PM »
I bought these pants after riding endless summers in jeans. I wear shorts at work all summer but do not ride in them on the bike so I was in need of a overpants for the summer. After looking last winter I found the Built pants fromCycle Gear on sale for $69.00. They come with a 5 year warranty so why not. I will give them a try. They sat in my closet all winter and by April it was warm enough to try them out. The mid 50's mornings were cool but between the C-10 fairing and the pants I was warm enough to survive the 20 mile commute. I normally would were short pants under the overpants but underwear is fine if the weather is to warm. The air flow from these pants is amazing. Even behind the C-10 fairing I got more than enough airflow to keep me cool on the ride home. We get temps from 80-112 here from spring through summer so airflow is important.

The pants come with zippered pockets on the front and zippered opening at the end of the legs for getting your feet through if needed. These pants are super lightweight and soft to wear. As for construction, no problems over the last 7 months were noted. No fading or seams coming apart. It was the hottest August and September here on record this year and although I did feel warm at 108deg I never felt the need to stop using the pants and go back to jeans. Cycle Gear makes a ladies mesh pants that look real close but they have a differant name. I bought the wife a set and she is real pleased as well. I had her model for the photos since she looks better in them than I do.  :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
