At least his bike didn't burst into flames like this guy's.

How did that guy not break his legs on the telephone pole?

I thought the same thing. Next time he might want to buckle his helmet on while he's at it.

I want to know how he magically stopped flying in mid air and apparently moved backwards while in the air. That was weird.

I think it was an optical illusion. I think he actually flew straight up in the air so it just looked like he flew backwards.

Back in 1999 I had a false nuetral on my ZX7 race bike coming into turn 1 at Spokane completely wide open, didn't make the turn obviously and did cart wheels at almost 150 mph (thank God there was a nice run-off field), I was awake for the first couple cart wheels but then went black, my buddies that saw it said I must have done at least a couple dozen cart wheels with nothing hitting but feet and head over and over again and very fast... Needless to say that put me in the hospital, pretzeled the bike, and I had to fly home later that week and have mama pick me up at the airport. That was when mama no longer liked me racing...  :(

I think I have some pics of the helmet somewhere at home, I'll try to find them and scan em in, it was toast!! But being an Arai it held up very well.

Some kind of support cable?  He wasn't going all that fast from what I could tell.  I do wonder why he ran from the scene?

I'm thinking there is a guyed wire for the pole that we can't see due to low resolution.  You can see his hands almost touch this feet as he bends at the waist (probably where the wire is).

I had a ZX-10R the same color before the Connie.  Bought it new.  Drove it for I think 1600 miles.  wicked bike.

I figured I would be doing the same thing as this guy.

I've seen this vid on several sites and not a one talks about the driver being a noob.  Or the bike being new.

Maybe he was just not paying attention.

he was obviously late for work and this crash was a setback.
