Thought I'd share a recent experience with the front calipers. I took the right caliper off my 2002 to measure the piston diameters to compare them with the Tokico 4-pots I purchased. While removing the inboard (longer) pad off the sliding pins it was pretty tight with accumulated crud and minor surface rust. I cleaned up the pins with a wire brush and some Scotchbrite to make it easier to re-assemble and install. The next day there was a small but noticeable (and welcome) decrease in lever travel. I cleaned up the other caliper the same way and am pleased with the decrease in lever travel. It didn't transform them into 1-finger powerhouses but at least the lever doesn't come back agains my knuckles when two finger braking with winter gloves.(42 deg. this morning-a little chilly)
