Freakin nails!
« on: August 27, 2012, 08:52:05 AM »
I picked up ANOTHER nail in my rear tire over the weekend! I did my walk around before hopping on the bike and heading off to work this morn. The rear tire was flat, only on the bottom though.  ;)

I'm gettin REAL good at the sticky rope/string repair. I just ordered a refill for my Slime kit.    :(

At least I caught it before heading out J, that's one good thing. I'm REALLY glad that I didn't replace this tire when it picked up the first nail.   :o

I feel your pain. The last four rear tires I have mounted all got a nail or something... One had two patch plugs in it when I finally wore it out. I even did a set of tires for my son and realized when I yanked the tire off the back that it had a patch plug that I had put on before I sold the bike to my son. This is the best one yet. Patch plugged from the inside and finished it off

Hey now, that's not a bad idea. I'll grab that nail out of the trash can when I go out this morning.

So far so good. The new BT023gt got a 3 inch nail 400 miles after I put it on there. I keep it in envelope with my insurance and registration so it can't migrate out and get back in the tire. But 4 K later I'm still good. Better than Gremin bells...
