Looking to buy 2000 concours with 50,000 miles
« on: August 28, 2012, 12:37:18 PM »
I'm looking at a 2000 model concours with 57,000 miles. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advise. The price is $2300 and this may be the only way I can get into a concours for a while. Are there any concerns I should have or any particulars I should be aware of in regards to maintanence?

Formerly I owned a ZX12R and I'm currently riding a Suzuki DR650.
Thanks.

At 57,000 miles no real problems. Depends on condition. Well taken care of? stored outside? (I wouldn't touch it!)Always garage store? (That's good!) Ever dropped? Was the bike ever Hydrolocked? Look it up!
Carbs could be due for a good cleaning. Valve adjust. Maybe front wheel bearings. Are you doing the maintainence youself? Dealer maintainence equal---$$$ !
If this bike was taken care I wouldn't have a problem buying it with only 57,000 miles
