C14 is in the shop for a few days
« on: April 28, 2015, 07:57:56 AM »
I hate to be missing out on this great weather we are having, but it was due.  I had scheduled the OEM service and a set of tires a month or so ago.  Dropped it off Saturday afternoon with a member here (Riverszzr).  http://riverszzr.webs.com/   He has quite a reputation for great work at a great price.

The tire choice had me a bit conflicted.  Many here really like the PR4 GT, myself included.  After some discussion I will be trying the Bridgestone T30 GT.  I was a bit hesitant because of the OEM 'stones.  I'll give an honest opinion once I get some miles on these.

I clicked on the link.  Couldn't find location, but thinking somewhere out west based on the "ready to burst into flames" look of the flora in the photo.

Nope.  He is in the Minnesota Metro area.

MN has roads like that in the photo?  Don't think I saw anything like that when I toured across and then down the Great River Road.

You need to know where to look.  Many of those were in SW Wisconsin also.  If you went to the Concours rally in WI a couple of years ago and ran the alphabet roads, then you know.

Don't sweat the Bridgestones. The factory ones were horrid, but you could swap them with over the counter BT021's and be fine. I've always had great feeling and grip with the 'Stones. 8)
