LOL Had it set up to bench test wiring for gps/radar detector/mini amp before I put it on the bike.
No question about the bar setup?

No question about the bar setup?

Nope, I'm fine with the stockers.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, just was not sure which clamp to start off with. Glad someone decided to take this on. Can't wait to see this completed and on the bike.  :D

looks interesting, no bolts securing the rear area that's closest to the rider?

Not with these clamps. I've got a couple of others to try. Trying to do this as inexpensivly as possible. The 2" heli risers came with the bike. Haven't been using them. The c10 HeliBars I got from a member here for a good price. My main concern for doing this is the angle the stock bars turn my wrists. I've got long arms and cannot find the perfect position. I'm in the middle of installing this setup now and broke for lunch. I've a feeling I'm going to need a taller riser in order to get full use from the HeliBars. I may have to go to a riser clamp with a single center bolt. The lower holes, closest to the rider, measure just about 4" on center which is the same as the knurling on the HeliBars. I believe this is standard with most bars. If this proves to be the case, since the c10 bars are getting scarce you could put any bars, including FatBars on this bike avoiding the cost of the LSL or HeliBar Horizon setup. Flanders and Renthal both have a wide selection of bars you could use. One advantage I have is I'm not trying to move the bars closer to me so I don't have a problem with cable and line length. Stay tuned.

Bars mounted with little difficulty. Had to drill locating holes in throttle bar. Short test ride. Very happy with results. I may switch to a different(taller) riser clamp. This setup dropped the bar height about 1". The vertical tubes on the Helibars are raised to full extension. Taller riser clamps would give me some up and down adjustment back. Since it has proved functional I'll continue to tweak the setup.

very interesting.  any concerns with just one bolt attaching the clamps on each side?

None to great to not to ride. The center of the clamps meet the head of the  bolt beneath it when tightened so they are not floating. I share your long term concern, that's why I'll try a center bolt riser clamp.
