I saw that video on the ADV site the other day, I have never had a snake on my bike, but I have had a way to close encounter with a pigeon on my 77 Wing. It was naked, like all Wings of that era, just a first generation Plexistar windscreen.
It came dive bombing from between a few buildings in my downtown, it hit just above the headlight and promptly explode, the windscreen and its guts. The aformentioned guts ended up on my chest, FF helmet and arms, what a wonderful smell. I ducked into the Fire station at the next corner, a few of the firefighters were sitting outside and their jaws dropped when they saw me pulling in. They thought I'd been shot, then they saw the feathers on the edges of the windscreen. They promptly hosed me off with laughter coming from all. I would love to have a pic, but it was long before cameras were invented.
Just ride safe, and watch for hitchhikers.

There was an injured snake on the Tail of the Dragon that nipped at each of our boots as we railed the turn, good times :D

I have a good story to tell about snakes! Eons ago, I was in Western India, in the state of Gujrat. I was putting around in one of those little 100cc honda motorcycles (or you can call it moped). I was meandering around in this foresty area with narrow roads. Suddenly I saw a snake trying to cross my path. I decided to stop to let the snake pass. The darn thing was a cobra !!! :yikes: !! I did not realize it until it came close to my front tire and raised its hood. Fortunately, it went on to crossed the road. Thanked god a thousand times!
