Title: Is there a trunk light accessory kit for the Kawasaki trunk/top case?
Post by: brooklyn on July 06, 2012, 01:18:26 PM
I picked up a color-matched Kawasaki-branded trunk for my 2010 C14 on eBay and was wondering if there's an accessory kit to turn those non-functioning cats' eye lenses into, you  know, working brake and/or tail lights.  Seems kind of silly to have them if they just look like the bulbs burned out.

Yep, Admore light kit, that's what I have on my Kawi 47 trunk, does tail light, brake light, and blinkers.

Excellent.  Thanks!  I installed the case this afternoon and noticed something that looked like a harness "knockout" and wire routing channel and thought someone had to make one.

Next question: I'd like to add soft foam padding to the inside of the case.  Do you (or anyone) have a resource for that?

If you find one for the Kawi 47 let me know, I looked for a pre-cut one and found nothing... Many folks just cut their own from material they get at Lowes or Home Depot...  :-\

Thanks for the recommendation.  I purchased the kit and installed it successfully in the Kawasaki top case.  So far, so good.

Unfortunately, the detailed instructions ended at installing the lights in the top case.  There are no instructions for wiring the harness to the bike, just a harness color code chart for tail/brake/turn signal hookup.   The Concours electrical system is a fairly formidable challenge for a guy coming from much simpler machines, even with a shop manual.  Any tips for what gozinta what and where, best practices, etc?

I bought egg crate speaker foam on amazon.  Worked like a champ.
