Title: Throttle Pull
Post by: UP on June 29, 2012, 01:42:15 PM
The throttle pull on my new 2012 is considerably harder than my old 2009. Gets tiring on the long rife from holding it. Cramp buster helps. Any ideas on how to lighten the throttle pull?

Thanks in advance.

Is the grip draging on anything?   Either on the Bar end weight or switch cluster?

They shouldn't be that much different other than the new ones have heated grips.

Older yes. I'll look for friction points as you suggest and report back.

If the throttle snaps back to closed after you apply full throttle I would say it only could be the spring that is stronger then the 09 spring. If it doesn't return quickly then you better get it looked at because it sounds like its dragging like others have said.

The throttle snaps back just as it should and I can't see any friction points at the grip. I suspect a stiffer spring at the return setting but under too much plastic for me to diddle with. Next shop stop I'll mention it.

Thanks all,
