Title: Rode a goldwing and loved it
Post by: zsiska on June 17, 2012, 03:28:52 PM
Rode a goldwing today for the first time.  Didn't think I would like it, but I am sold.  I don't think I have ridden anything else tba compares or will compare.  I might be buying the one in the pic from a family member.  2005 with 10000 miles.

I just have to keep my wife off of a Goldwing until I turn 50, then I might give in and get one.

Me too. The winger and the BMW both, I avoid them (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/bigthumb.gif)

It does.  Also has all the communications (rider and passenger) stuff built in and the helmet pieces included.  Crash bars in the rear.

And I was really surprised when he told me it had the stock seat.  It was like heaven on my a^^ and I would have sworn it was a Russel or something else.

He is trying to package it with a color matched trailer to pull behind the bike and also an enclosed Haulmark 16 ft bike trailer.  I think my wife knows she will be coming home one day surprised to find 3 new items in the driveway.  And she never once hinted that I would be sorry if that did happen.

My wife won't ride with me on the Concours because of the lack of backrest or very small one.  And I don't feel comfortable enough on the Vstar to have her on it with me.  She did sit and go for a short jaunt on the Wing and said she woudl ride that everywhere with me.  So that ( I guess) is another plus for me buying one.

I wasn't dressed the most appropriately.  But I also wasn't expecting to be riding.  We were there for a cook out and I was checking out the bike and had my arm twisted to take it out.

What price does he have on the wing alone?
