Yep, had it on my '08 for 4 seasons now and it's done a nice job protecting the paint.
Once installed, you can hardly see it; it needs to be "patted down" occasionally on the top of the right bag, where it gets scuffed from mounting/dismounting.
I'm happy with it and would certainly use it again. Saved a lot of scratches.

I had them on my 2010 c14 for about a year. After a while they tend to dry an peal back. I would not notice until I was on a ride and by then dust would get under it an they never looked as good again. Easy to put on and looks great for a while. When I replaced the tank pieces with Tech Spec (http://www.techspec-usa.com/ (http://www.techspec-usa.com/)) I found that I preferred the texture for grabbing than the slick tank.
Also now that I have gotten on and off the bike several hundred times only the wife kicks the bags so off they came.

I got the full kit of Tank Slapper. While the product works well enough, I found myself to be very hard on the tank and side pieces. I e-mailed them a year later an ordered the tank and side piece’s in the 3-M film they also have. Easy to deal with and not making a month’s rent off of the sale. That summer was a cool one with summer lasting a week. I wanted 90+ degrees to work with the film. So I did not get the 3-M put on. The following Spring I got sick and was out of production most of the year. Only rode about 1K last year.
This year I decided when the weather warmed up I would put the 3-M pieces on but was not able to find the package. E mailed Tank Slapper again the spring and explained what happened. The missing tank and side pieces were replaced for $17.00 including shipping. Of course we all know about Murphy ’s Law. I had looked high and low for the pieces I bought a couple of years ago. Shortly after the replacement 3 M stuff arrived I found the missing pieces. Whew. I have had great customer service from them and the Tank Slapper Kit for a C14 everything from tip of front fender, mirrors’ and top of the bags in a combo of tank slapper material along with the high % of chip damage protection area in 3M. The head lights are covered 3M. (Have fun).
Both the Tank Slapper and 3M protect well, the edges of the Tank Slapper material will come up before the 3M will. I know my paint would be in rough shape without the Tank Slapper and again, good people to deal with. If I were to do it again I would opt for the full kit in 3M.

I use a Targa tank bra, I know it won't do anything for the saddle bags but I like it on the tank.

I bought the kits for the tank only and it worked fine for a while. Then the edges got a lil 'dry' and started to lift. I replaced it all with the Tech Spec kit. I cut up the larger pieces of the Tankslapper kit that were still good and stuck em to the tops of my side bags to help prevent boot scuffs.

I also bought the kit when they first came out. They either told me, or it was in the instructions is that when they start lifting due to dirt etc, pull them off and wash them really good in soapy water. You can then reinstall with the water/alcohol mix. They will work just like new again if you wash them good enough.

Hmmmm,.....My kit camwe with the pieces to cover the top of the bag. Works good.
