We just got back from a 500 mile trip and One of the issues we ran into was with my girls foot placement. She said there is no foot placement adjustment available with the new bars on there. She was rotating dangling her feet off the sides of the bike which besides not looking comfortable she had no control when i would hit the brakes and she would just rotate into my back.....
Its hard to work on this one since its not my problem. But maby some sort of floor board, or further out peg?

What about the ProjektD units? http://projektd.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_39&products_id=132 (http://projektd.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_39&products_id=132)
No FHE (yet), but others have used them. I have some on their way to go with the rear MCE bars that I ordered on the group buy.

I think that Gumbi bought some of these to go with his MCE rear bars too. I don't remember if he reported on how well his wife liked them or not. I'm going to have to do the same thing so I need to know how well they work out.

I don't have the pillion "problem" you guys have, I just want to be able to fold the pegs with the MCE rears installed.
I believe you could still swap out the pegs on these with something else, as long as the clearances are there.

My pillon sais her knees start to cramp up. I don't know if it will help or not but I guess it might be my only play. The bars don't block her foot placement but she sais it reduces her options when she needs to move a bit.
As long as it does not interfere with my foot placement i'm willing to try it.

I have the MC rear bars on and I started with the Vixfix lowed rear pegs. See:
http://vixfix.com/GTR.htm (http://vixfix.com/GTR.htm)
My wife loved the fact they were lower, a bit more forward and wider than the stock pegs - UNTIL she saw floorboards that is. I ended up Kury boards, which were covered in this previous post:

I (she) still wanted the boards lowered so I went to a local machine shop and had them make me a set of lowering bars similar to that on the Vixfix setup. All is good. The board fold up when not in use, but the left board does make putting the bike on the centerstand a bit more difficult, or at least it is harder to get your foot onto the centerstand. Overall, a minor problem compared to an unhappy passenger, especially if it is your wife!
Neither of these options interfered with my foot positioning.

What did you do with the Vixfix set-up that your wife didn't like? I may be interested in taking them off your hands.

I am pretty sure I know exactly where I put them. I'm currently out of town but will get back to you on early next week when I return.

Ya, I have the ProjectD brackets with my Buell pegs and I don't hear any complaining anymore.

I chose to go with this: http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=6028.msg70694#msg70694 (http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=6028.msg70694#msg70694) No issues with the rear MC bars.

My wife didn't like the ProjektD passenger lowering things. Her legs are just too short. So I got what 556Alpha tried which was the Vario Passenger pegs.

The good thing about those is you can adjust the peg position until she likes it. My wife needed it higher and further forward than stock.

My realization.
