Title: Laminar Lip
Post by: Jim M. on May 14, 2012, 08:00:23 AM
I have a Cee Bailey Euro shield on my '08, but being 6'2", it still wasn't tall enough to keep wind noise and buffeting away.  I added a Laminar Lip to the CB and it works great! Even though I have an '08, I ordered the lip for the 2010+, since the contour of the CB is closer to that shape. In order to get the height I needed above the CB, I had to remove the top velcro patches and moved them down to the center. I put about 300+ miles on it over the weekend and I'm very happy with it. The only problem now is that without the wind noise, the AreaP exhaust noise is really annoying! Not too bad with earplugs, but without- ugh!

......sorry no pics yet. My camera just died last week.

I'm interested in seeing this, so please post pics when possible. I too am 6'2", and the Cee Bailey Euro just seemed to make things worse for me. The buffeting was terrible! Took it back off after a few hundred miles and it's just sitting boxed up in the garage now.

I have the Cee baily Euro tour I have just put on my 2010 ABS. It works great on Position 3. If I put it to Posn 4 I am looking through it. No wind noise at Posn 3 at 80- 90 MPH. I am 5'11". On my 2003 Connie I had a Clearview Windshield which I added the laminar Lip to, they are magic

A buddy just put one on his ST1300 and says it helps a lot. He has a big Gold Wind shield on his ST1300 and said he was still getting to much wind. ( I told him to go back to a Gold Wing!!). He said with the lip he can notice a big difference.

Jim, I'll help you out by freeing you from that pesky AreaP! ;)
