Hey another question for the pros here, over the winter I pulled the flies and put in a PC with the fuel moto tune for flies removed, aftermarket exhaust and air filter. I noticed this spring the bike runs one bar above the middle mark, it used to run right in the middle in the cooler spring temps. I pulled the pc off and ran the bike for a bit and it ran a bit cooler, around the middle to one bar above. I have a 5k trip to NC coming up and I don't want the bike over heating in the mountains. So my question is what does everyone is what does everyone recommend run the bike stock or put the PC back on ?

Have you checked the radiator water level when the bike is cold?
Also check the expansion tank when the bike is cold. If coolant is needed then you can buy pre-mixed coolant (motorcycles) and add to both. Do not over fill the expansion tank though!
Sometimes when air gets into the system the coolant is not at the correct level in the radiator so be aware of this. Lastly, check the radiator cap seal and if you can find someone to pressure test the cap then all the better. Bad seals and incorrect radiator caps (wrong PSI) can produce symptoms of over heating, yet the engine head gasket etc are good.

Poke's right. Mine will run up to second from the top and hasn't gone any further. The fans do their job. It has never hit the top level in the hottest of weather so far.

Reason why I ask is that since I put engine ice coolant into the system I am just about one bar below what you stated ;D

Well, the secret to the year of my bike is in the signature. Mine normally runs one above center, however when stopped and idling or in extremely hot conditions it will run one below the top. Make sure the rad is full and the coolant is where it should be in the overflow bottle..roughly midway I think. I put a mark on the outside of the bottle so that I could see it better without taking things off.

Good information, so I hope the OP looks at both our comments just in case his radiator and expansion tank is below the required level.
