Title: Lost my Jazzie Girl Saturday
Post by: rush2112 on April 30, 2012, 06:32:21 PM
Jazzie was my 9.5 year old boxer. Cancer had spread to her abdomen and we had to make the hardest decision I have ever had to make. She passed quietly in my arms. Don't think I've ever hurt this bad... :(

Hey Rush,
I will join you with the tears, I just looked up my pics of my Black Lab , Bear, that I had to put down a few yrs ago.
He died in my arms also, we were eye to eye, and he knew it was time.
I feel for ya buddy, don't ever forget.
Be safe.
Greg

She has Bella ready to play and rest assured you have a buddy waiting when it's your turn.

I sure wish 2 legged critters had the same kinda loyalty our 4 legged ones do.

 :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Run in Peace Jazzie.

Oh how very sad, sorry for your loss.

My little dog passed away several years ago so I know what you are going through.

Thoughts and prayers to you all.

Blessings sent for you and your family. Realizing the struggle that led to this fateful decision, and one that was humanely best for Jazzie,
is to understand how difficult it was because of the amount of love for her. She's your little girl, and will always be. The memories will stay,
but the pain will lesson with time. We're here for you, and we want to support you in these extremely difficult hours.

Cosmo and Sasha will keep Jazzie company while she waits at the bridge for you.

Thanks everyone for your kind condolences. They truly help in a time like this.
It's really hard to keep stuff like this bottled up, and I thank you for the ability to post this on the forum for support.

I know the pain will ease with time, but sometimes it's almost unbearable.
It's tough to come home from work and her not being the first one to greet me then not leaving my side.

I sure hope to see her again one day.

Thanks guys!

Rush,

Oh man, I missed this tread till just now. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I know how those critters can attach to your heart and they'll always have a place there.

I missed it too. I'm sorry brother. I lost my Cocoa a few years ago. He was a brave, wonderfully goofy and protective chocolate lab. He fought off a chow who wanted to bite my daughter and a copperhead who wanted  to bite me. I saw the glow leave his eyes after his brave heart failed. Peace be with you. Now, I gotta go blow my nose.

Rush:
Losing a pet companion is tough. I've yet to lose one that didn't tear me apart. I've lost horses, cats, dogs; it didn't make it any easier at any time.
You'll be re-united some day and what a day that will be.

Hang in there,

She is beautiful ! I know first hand what you are going through, for I am still crying over the loss of my Shakespeare as I write this. You're right, it is almost unbearable at times, I can't even imagine having to go through this without the support of my wife. I know your Jazzie Girl was a very lucky girl.
