Post by: Jaxter on May 21, 2011, 11:48:54 AM
Does anyone have a C-14 dash visor for sale?
This would be for a 2010 C-14

I made one from an old helmet shield. It was something I read that someone else had done to protect the gauges from direct sunlight and prevent melting the needles. It worked great and looks good.

Dras,

You asked for a picture. These are not great but they give you the idea. And it was done just as Cog4150 said. In fact if you look close in one of the pics you can see the tape. It is just stuck to the top of the gauge panel. I used good automotive tape like used for side molding and such and it has never come loose. I dont think you could mount anything up there like you could with the C10.

Jaxter
The tape is made by 3M, and I bought it at my local auto body supply.
Ha! I wondered if that would get noticed. The sign was originally for the C10, I just altered the 0 to a 4. I think it came from Ebay.

3M body molding tape has never failed me.  I have used it for the fender extenders on my last 3 bikes.
