They hold the brake line guides. Mine are removed as they are a PITA to work with...

Oh. I thought there where for armament attachments. ;)
-
hmm, my bikes brand new and it doesn't have them. I wonder where my brake lines are routed.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they aren't used on the '10 and up (or ABS bikes, or something)... and if they are, they weren't on mine. My brake lines were only supported of the sides, near the fender bolts (label A in the diagram). I don't have that second banjo off the right caliper.
So, I'm mounting miniguns on mine.

Mine aren't utilised from the showroom floor on my 2012 (wondered what the holes were for).

That would explain it. I figured i'd see a spare brake line hanging out there.

I have a 2011 and they are long gone, they probably fell off thousands of miles ago. No real loss of braking or utility at all, fairly flimsy in my opinion, and obviously unnecessary.
-
Well mine is a 2008 and having changed the front tire twice myself, I don't see how they could possibly "fall off." Most ppl remove the front fender when they change the front wheel meaning that they have to undo the brake line retainers to get the front fender off. If yours are missing than someone screwed up.

My non-abs 2008 has them.
-
I noticed those when I had the fender off recently to put a fender extender on. Nothing attached to them on my '11.
-
I had just put the extender on my 08 also, and there are hose clips/clamps that hold the brake hose in place that fit in those holes, I know I broke one and had to order it,cheap part was only $6.00, but here what it looks like.

Here's the deal. It's the same fender for the ZX14. The early connies had the crossover line, the 10s and up, don't.
