have been gone from the board for awhile. wish I could say I was riding all this time, but I have been working my butt off.
only two things to report on. got stuck on the Blue Ridge Parkway about 2 weeks ago. stopped to take a break, jumped back on and pushed the Kpass button and all lite up as it should. put it in nutral and hit the starter and it all died into nothingness.
hit kpass again and nothing.. looked at my cell phone and nothing, looked at the sky gettin darker into nothing... you get the point.
fiddled around under the seat, nothing. kpass was not stuck so no need for the Krock. about 45 minutes go by and another C14 comes in.
told him what was happening and he's like, oh thats the battery ground wire. sure enough it had some surface rust on it. loosen the connector and scaped it down with winchester pocket knife and bam, fire in the hole she started...... thank god for people who know more then I....
conti motion tires.. cheap set always on sale at powersports. 9-10k on front and still some tread to go. looks like I could get maybe 11-12k out of it but gonna go ahead and change it with the rear. on my 2nd conti motion rear tire with the same front tire. if I pushed it I could go 3 rears to one front.
just took wheels off and will head down to powersports tomorrow. think I will go with another conti motion front and see what else they have for the rear. first rear got about 4700mi and wore pretty even. this 2nd rear has about 4500mi with about a 7 inches of belt showing down the middle.

Glad to see you back!

Do most of the people out there get more mileage from their front or their back tire? I'm kind of new to this bike and my riding style is not over the top aggressive. I'm getting about 7K on a front and I have 5K on a newer rear that looks like around 9 or 10K may be possible. I seldom slab ride but I'm a bigger person (270) so the bike is basically two up all of the time. I have a PR2 on the rear and a Metzeler touring that was new when I bought the bike.

I typically get almost 2 fronts to every rear on bikes JB...

I'd agree on front tires lasting two to one, after the stockers are replaced.

2 fronts to 1 rear???????
Man you people must brake a lot.
If you meant the other way around then,..... me too. ;D
