I hear a whistle, very quiet when I shut her down. It is probably the vent on the gas cap but I don't remember hearing the sound last fall. Is it appropriate to blow into it to try and clear it if it is partially plugged?

Mine does that too JB and has since day 1...

I have heard that sound on every bike I have owned. It is always the vent on the gas tank either letting air in or out. Especially noticeable if tank is pretty full and it is a warm day; but it seems, generally, unpredictable.

Normal.

Go ahead and blow on it...it should at least make your connie smile!

Mine farts at me sometimes too, I just open the cap and release the beast.

Mine whistles/hums as well, I ignore it

Thats is the same thing i do, open up the gas cap for a couple of seconds and is done, just like human's , little pressure in the tank and open for a couple of seconds and release pressure ha ha :cannon:
