Has anyone out there spliced in a 3.5mm head phone jack to direct connection to their favorite ear buds? I typically ride with ear buds on long rides to protect my hearing from wind noise.

Last summer I rode with a friend on a cross country trip utilzing Scala Q2. Made the ride so much more enjoyable and safer too. I wore my custom fited gel ear plugs and turned up the volume full blast. the combination worked well enough but got me thinking if I could modify a set with standard 3.5mm jack I could connect my sound cancelling ear buds.   So back to my question, has anyone out there spliced in a head phone jack????
