And if you want to include it via the album, use this (take out the blank spaces) [ smg id=7 ] or [ smg id=7 type=preview ] as the code in a post, and it will show like this:

Wow beautiful pics! I'm envious! What seat do you have on the FJR?

That seat was finished by “Bill Mayer Saddles” in CA. I did a bit of “pre-shaping” work to the foam myself before sending the seat in. That seat fit me very well after they finished with it. I would not even consider using the stock FJR seat again after having ridden on that seat.

There is a creek that “somewhat” parallels Hwy 89 as it winds thru the “Little Belts”.
I hope to stay in this CG someday. It's a few miles south of Kings Hill. A dozen or so campsites IIRC. Back in the woods, across the creek, plenty of shade, and the creek runs beside it. BTW, the road is "dirt". No showers here, outdoor toilets only--2 or 3 of em’.

There is also a Kings Hill area FS CG. Back in the day, we camped near the “hill-top”, so to speak.

White Sulphur Springs.
Ahhh...camping!
Not exactly roughing it. But, adventurous enough for me “nowadays”.(http://zggtr.org/MGalleryItem.php?id=25)
BTW, I’ve also enjoyed a nice stay in a motel there in WSS. Even took a dip, at the wife’s insistence, in the hot springs pool in town.

Rogers Pass. Power wave from a "Grand Ole" friend.

Taken on Hwy 200 not far from Rogers Pass IIRC

Townsend campground--was free. A BMW rider “holds-up” in his tent during a fierce storm—lots of lightning :yikes: and very strong wind.(http://zggtr.org/MGalleryItem.php?id=21)
There was a young couple with a large tent almost directly across from the BMW rider. Their tent was blown down by the high winds. The guy was fighting the wind trying to keep the tent up—not a chance! The guy's wife (I guess), like myself ;D, headed for town.
South of Townsend. A couple of FJR riders from CA touring the NW on their bikes and heading to CO IIRC. (http://zggtr.org/MGalleryItem.php?id=22)

Checked out their website.......looks like a great outfit. So is that your stock seat, just revamped, or a whole new seat?

Yes.
Stock pans, some stock foam, some of their foam, and their cover.
I ground the stock foam a bit myself to get the general shape that suited me. They refined the shape, added a bit, or layer, of foam I think—good stuff IMO, and added the “wings” to it.
I also had a RDL on an earlier FJR. Wasn’t suitable for me. I had to return it.

Columbus--camping was free (foc) IIRC.

Tall Cottonwoods in the CG. Creek runs behind it IIRC.

See! No telling where he's leading me. Somewhere in the middle of Montana I guess.

"Access hwy”, for lack of a better term, that parallels I 15 between Helena and Great Falls. Good stuff IMO.

Thanks for the info and again for the amazing pics. Makes me miss living out West. Lived in Utah in 2000-2001.
